How does social media affect today's education?

Many students nowadays enjoys the efficiency of using social media. Many might argue that it helps both learners and instructor to an easier way of learning. Because of social media, other sources of information such as library, newspapers, magazines and even books have been left out. Abandoning printed media does not necessarily mean a bad thing but because readers of printed media have dropped significantly low to the point that, as stupid as it is, there students/people who can't distinguish which printed media is which.

Social media is indeed an efficient way learning but in some ways it is lacking because in it fraud can easily spread. Misconceptions is easily created in the minds of the readers who coincidentally saw a fake news made by people purposely making and spreading it. Learners even become dull as they continued to rely on social media as their main source of information. They on social media too much that they even plagiarize other people's works without their notice.

As a learner I encourage everyone to become aware of what you read and watch. A researcher said that an information searched in books, magazines, newspapers, etc.. are 70% more credible and reliable than those from social media. It is because, it is much easier to type letters and words from your computers and phone, furthermore hide your identity in the process. As students we ought to be responsible in what we read because it will directly reflect to us in many ways.
